Server Training in Alcohol Regulations (S.T.A.R.)

The Kentucky ABC promotes responsible alcohol service by training the sellers and servers of alcohol.  Once trained through the S.T.A.R. program, they have the tools to be a positive force in reducing alcohol-related problems. 

S.T.A.R. Goals

  • Reduce the number of drunk drivers.
  • Reduce alcohol sales to minors.
  • Reduce alcohol abuse.
  • Promote responsible drinking.
  • Provide sellers and servers with information to protect themselves against liability lawsuits.
  • Educate licensees and their employees about Kentucky alcohol laws and regulations.
